Technologies
At Dornoch Academy, our Technologies programme gives students the chance to explore, create, and learn by doing. Across craft, design, engineering, graphics, and computing, pupils develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and creativity while discovering how technology shapes everyday life.
In Graphic Communication, students learn to share ideas using images, text, and design, creating real-world projects like logos, packaging, and digital or printed materials.
In Practical Woodworking, pupils gain hands-on experience using tools and machinery to cut, shape, and finish wood. They learn construction and finishing skills, culminating in their own creative project.
Throughout the programme, students are encouraged to be curious, work safely, and take pride in their achievements, building skills they can carry with them for life.
