Pupil Support

Our school is a place where everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected.  We want to help each other grow, learn and be the best we can be - together.

At Dornoch Academy, there are two main teams here to support you: the Guidance Team and the Additional Support for Learning Team.  They’re here to help you with anything you need - whether it’s school stuff or just someone to talk to.

Guidance Team:

Iain Mackenzie, Guidance Teacher.

Additional Support for Learning Team:

Claire Nixon, Principal Teacher ASL for the whole campus.

Vikki Baddon, ASL Teacher (mainly in Dornoch Primary but you may see her in the Academy sometimes) [Tara Smart is currently covering this post].

Caroline Mackay, Pupil Support Assistant.

Gayle Mackay, Pupil Support Assistant.

Jacqui McAffer, Pupil Support Assistant.

Mhairi Robertson, Pupil Support Assistant.

Laura Thain, Pupil Support Assistant.

Some of you might never need our help and some of you might need a lot of our help but we are here to support you in whatever way is best for you.  You can find us at the following locations in Dornoch Academy:

Guidance: Mr Mackenzie’s office is round the corner from the PE Department.

Additional Support for Learning Team: The ASN Base is between the boys and girls toilets on the Ground Floor (it might be called the Nurture Base on any maps of Dornoch Academy).
