Art

In Art and design at Dornoch academy pupils are encouraged and taught how to develop their creativity skills through a wide variety of activities that promote Curiosity, Open-Mindedness, Imagination and Problem solving. We are very lucky to have strong links to local partners that enable us to broaden and enrich our pupils’ experiences in Art and Design. Thanks to this, our pupils are given the opportunity throughout their curriculum stages to take part in a range of extracurricular activities, competitions and workshops. Pupils are also offered to take part on day trips or residential trips during the y can see Art and Design in context. We find this fosters an enthusiasm for the subject that pupils can develop further out of school time.
