Basketball
Well done to the 14 boys and girls who travelled to Tain after school on Tuesday 19th April to play basketball. Initially, the girls joined with some Tain girls to play in a friendly game while the boys played in a more competitive game against Tain boys. Dornoch boys won this game, scoring numerous baskets, communicating exceptional well and working together as a team to link up play. For a lot of players it was a new experience playing on a full court however having worked on fitness in training all payers rose to the challenge and played well throughout the game. To finish we played a mixed game, boys and girls, Dornoch and Tain players. This was a great opportunity for all pupils to experience playing on a full court, working both in friendly and competitive situations to work on improving their basketball in a fun manner. Well done to all involved and thank you to coach Bridget Morrison for continually working with the team, supporting them to achieve and being on hand to drive the mini bus. For anyone who would like to come along to basketball training please do so on a Wednesday lunchtime or Thursday afterschool. All welcome.
